I own an A/C company, and on every repair job or installation I do my helpers learn the trade through my explanations and dissecting of the current project. I am a natural teacher. If I am doing something, it is commonplace for me to explain what I am doing and why. I would have pursued teaching as a career, but I find that I am teaching in whatever I happen to be doing. I certainly have the experience and qualifications to step right into a position, but I detest having a boss. I need to be free to make changes to rigid guidelines, adapt to the situation and create new opportunities through freedom. A strict regimen is good for some students, and I can adhere to said structures, but most young adults need a different perspective. I can provide that.
